A recent survey by MillionaireMatch.com found that 79.6% of men who are millionaires prefer to date women with less wealth. Conversely, 85% of millionaire women are more careful with their wealth and want to date men who are also millionaires. 82% of these women also say that they would insist on a prenuptial agreement before marriage.
These statistics could point to at least one reason that older men end up with younger women. Women are looking for a more mature partner and an older guy can offer them more commitment, security and financial stability than a struggling, younger one. It also points to why mature, successful women often lament the dearth of available men in their age group. The men they seek are connecting with women who are less financially well off and who are usually younger.
It’s also fun to speculate on why these men prefer women with fewer financial assets. It certainly gives them the upper hand and puts them in the relationship driver’s seat, and their partners have an appreciation wealthy women already take for granted for the more privileged lifestyle they can offer them.
