We Were Almost Blue Smoke...

After I accidentially read the map wrong and landed us in Harlem talking to NYPD cops who saw we were clearly out of place in this part of town we made our way to Blue Smoke, which my mum had recommend from a programme she saw (yes food obsession runs in the family). While Blue Smoke is just one of a number of of Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group empire and bbq places in manhattan, it's become one of the most popular. For a starter I had chipotle chicken wings with a blue cheese sauce, which was very flavoursome and something I've never had before, but would like to have again. For the mains I couldn't leave without trying ribs, which were tasty, but not not amazing, but the service was excellent and there's a popluar jazz bar downstairs which would probably make the experience more memorable...
