We stand with you

The Paws For Reaction family cares deeply about many things- not just your pets. We want to support an inclusive society that doesn't tolerate discrimination and violence of any kind. Tomorrow, June 5 at 3:00 pm there will be a peaceful march in Ottawa to condemn the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and to honor his life. The peaceful march will begin at the United States Embassy on Sussex Drive and it will be a 10-minute walk. Anyone attending the march is asked to maintain social distancing measures and to wear a facemask. Peaceful protests are scheduled across Canada to support the black community and protest racism and police brutality. 

I'm one of the many essential workers still working full-time during the COVID-19 crisis, and will be unable to attend this event- even though I would really like to be there. I want to let everyone know that I (and my fur-family) stand with the black community and fully support the Black Lives Matter movement. We do not condone racism and we stand against racial violence and discrimination. We extend our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of George Floyd during this difficult time, and hope they will get justice for his brutal murder.
We wish we could be with you tomorrow, Ottawa. Know that we are thinking of you, and we support you. Please stay safe and stay peaceful. #BlackLivesMatter
