What is the best piece of advice that you would give to a school pupil that wants to be in showbiz?

I think it’s really important to be following a dream for the right reasons. If you have a talent and you love performing, go for it – and always remember why you started. It’ll give you the motivation to succeed.

If you want a great day then what five things do you find yourself doing?

My morning routine is really important to me so I follow my Herbalife SKIN skincare regime as soon as I wake up. I’ll often then do a workout with my trainer @twistedfitness, which helps me feel fired up for the day. Recently I’ve been presenting a radio show in the mornings so I’ll often have breakfast en route to the studio while I catch up on emails and social media I’ve missed overnight. I can’t skip breakfast, I get so hungry!! Being live on air is amazing – I get such a buzz. Once the adrenaline starts pumping, I feel invincible – it’s my favorite part of the day!

What are the biggest challenges that celebrities face?

I think anyone in the public eye struggles with the lack of privacy, especially now that social media is so huge – we expect to know every detail of someone’s day, immediately!

How important is networking for what you do and how do you go about it?

Hugely – you really have to be a people person and happy socialising in this industry. I spend a lot of my time meeting with brands and PRs who I used to work with when I wrote for Marie Claire magazine. It’s good to stay on top of new launches and get all the news first – helps me seem a bit more credible on tv!

How do you stay fit and healthy?

Is diet a dirty word or do you have everything in moderation. What is your best health tip? It sounds boring, but I believe in moderation. I am careful about what I eat because I like to feel my best, but I don’t eliminate food groups – that’s just make me want them more! I do a lot of HIIT training, and run when I can. I used to be in the Army, so I’m petty militant about getting my work-outs in – I’m sure it’s annoying to those around me!

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

Do you regret anything? Talking live on Sky News was amazing – I love live tv, and hope to do more of that this year. I don’t believe in regrets – there may be experiences I can learn from, but I always try to look forward rather than back.

What’s next for you?

Where would you like to be next year at this time? I’ve started doing a lot more radio work – I have a breakfast show weekdays on fm1fm, and I co-host the Hoxton Fashion show on Wednesdays at 10am. Radio takes a completely different skill set so it’s a work in progress! I’m also doing more sports and travel work – I’m passionate about sport so the dream would be to present for a sports channel.

Everyone seems to have a blog these days. Is the internet saturated?

Is there a blog begging to be written? Yes and no. There are millions of blog out there, but not all of them have a purpose. If you’re thinking of writing a blog, find your niche and research your audience. Really speak to them and give them practical advice.
