Story: We Are Gathered Here Today starts as Peter Stone (Huston) receives a video call from a Doctor (Johnson) in America. He is given the awful news his father isn’t going to make it after catching Covid. Peter must phone his family to bring them together for a final call.
As the family comes together, they must address their own problems with each other. It shows how the family wouldn’t get a chance to have their personal goodbyes and the distant goodbyes are always going to be more difficult.

We Are Gathered Here Today is a drama that showed how difficult saying goodbye to a loved one during the Covid pandemic. It shows that the personal connection wasn’t there anymore and everything is shown through video calls.
We see the family come together from around the world to have a family meeting, one that gives them a chance to address certain problems they have had through the years. It brings a chance to share memories and see how different people address loss.
In what is an unusual way to make a movie, this shows the change in how people operate in the world. We have an amazing cast that comes together for this story. This isn’t easy to watch, because of the tragic subject matter going on within the movie. It does bring to life a side to the pandemic many people suffered through, but not many people saw.
