Western Digital company announces today the availability of an app for Microsoft’s latest operating system–Windows 8.
The app “makes it easy to discover, enjoy and backup digital media and files” once the WD storage is connected. The WD app for Windows 8 will search for digital content on the storage once it is connected to the system. The app will then showcases the photos, videos and music on a live tile on the Start screen of Windows 8.
The app will be automatically installed by Windows 8 for certified WD products or download the WD app from the Windows Store.
