I love when I stumble upon art and artists that are outside of the norm. Wayne Pate just so happens to be one of those artists. With a style that's both whimsical and playful, Pate's collections boast equal parts of charm and cleverness. Fun facts - Pate is married to the fashion designer Rebecca Taylor, and he's also never had any formal art training. I'm pretty convinced that the reason why his pieces are so appealing is due to him not taking himself too seriously - he even self describes himself as an artist of sorts. Sometimes a little bit of loosening up is all we need.
