Waterfront

By Britishcouture
Yesterday I went for a trip down memory lane, visiting places where some of my family grew up as children. I also went back to one of the houses I grew up in. All these years on and it was still fresh in my mind. At lunch time we parked the car down by the 'creek' which was filled with oldy woldy barges and little boats, and admired the views over the countryside.

Tucked back from the waterfront is a strip of old wooden buildings separated now into little businesses and shops. We popped in the tea room, sunned ourselves in the back garden, and enjoyed a pot of tea, a home-made bacon buttie and a toasted tea cake. All very British mind you.

We then hopped back in the car, and with the wind through our hair we drove right out into the countryside. To then climb up a slight hill and see the sea with little yachts bobbing up and down in the distance. As it was a clear day, you could see for miles, and the view was amazing. The breeze coming off the water was ice cold, and I certainly felt it in shorts! I also felt the nautical theme with the navy and cream appropriate for being by the sea.
