This “Waves” trailer starring Sterling K. Brown will have you in your feelings.
The film tells the emotional journey of a suburban African American family as they navigate love, forgiveness and coming together following a loss.
The trailer opens with the family attending a church service in which the priest preaches about the importance of love. The family is grieving, though it’s unclear why.
Brown is also heard reciting 1Corinthians 13:4-5 “Love is patient, love is kind, love is not rude, it doesn’t boast, love also forgets wrong,” as his family is headed to church.
Kelvin Harrison Jr., Lucas Hedges, Taylor Russell, Alexa Demie and Renee Elise Goldsberry also star in the film.
“Waves” was written and directed by Trey Edward Shults and distributed by A24,
Critics are calling it a “Must See” so make sure you go check it out when it hits theaters this November.
And yes, that’s Frank Oceans’ “Godspeed” playing………….
