Over the past year I have seen an incredible amount of films and I have decided to share with you all which ones I have seen in what order. I am going to be doing these in groups of ten, where I will pick my favorite of the bunch and the worst of the bunch. I am also offering just for fun a chance for you all to guess which actor/actress I have seen the most films off.
So without further ramblings here we go 21 – 30:
1. Cyberbully – A British teenager is forced by a computer hacker to do his bidding. If she refuses, the hacker will leak compromising photos of her to the public. A made for television movie with Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams
2. Boyhood The life of Mason, from early childhood to his arrival at college. This brilliant and original style of film making will make this a classic that will get talked about for years to come.
3. The Gambler Lit professor and gambler Jim Bennett’s debt causes him to borrow money from his mother and a loan shark. Further complicating his situation is his relationship with one of his students. Will Bennett risk his life for a second chance? I feel this was a big disappointment to me.
4. Vice Bruce Willis stars in this Sci-Fi thriller about ultimate resort: VICE, where customers can play out their wildest fantasies with artificial inhabitants who look like humans. A sci-fi film that went under the radar but it is easily miss-able.
5. Glory Robert Gould Shaw leads the US Civil War’s first all-black volunteer company, fighting prejudices of both his own Union army and the Confederates. Brilliant drama that shows how hard the conflict in the US Civil War.
6. Blood Sport Follows Frank Dux, an American martial artist serving in the military, who decides to leave the army to compete in a martial arts tournament in Hong Kong where fights to the death can occur. This is what you would call a typical Van Damme film.
7. Malpractice – A lawyer (Stephanie Zimbalist) turns private investigator when her doctor-husband holds himself responsible for the death of a patient. A made for tv movie that was pretty much plain.
8. Out of the Dark A couple and their daughter move to Colombia to take over a family manufacturing plant, only to realize their new home is haunted. A film that went under the radar but lacked that true scare.
9. Deadly GameA thief is caught up in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse between a maverick cop and London crime boss. This one I never want to see again.
10. A Walk Among The Tombstones Private investigator Matthew Scudder is hired by a drug kingpin to find out who kidnapped and murdered his wife. This is darker compared to a lot of Neeson action films and is all about the slow build.
The Best – Boyhood
The Worst – Deadly Game
Star leading the way – Liam Neeson, Boyd Holbrook, Forest Whitaker and Matthew Broderick all have appeared in 2 films so far.
