Mary J. Blige is making media rounds for her upcoming Netflix movie ‘Mudbound,’ and on Monday morning she stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan.
Looking gorgeous in white, the singer/actress discussed her character Florence, and how she had to strip away all of her “Mary J. Blige” persona (her wigs, makeup, shoes and even her lashes) for the role.
Show co-host Kelly Ripa asked Mary if it was liberating not having to worry about all of that.
“Once I surrendered completely, and realized that I couldn’t get out of it, yes, it liberated me,” Mary shared with Kelly.
Oh and about that breakup body, Mary shared with Ryan Seacrest and Kelly that she’s at the gym 4 days a week.
