Mariah Carey walked back onto the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve stage, with one minor hiccup…they forgot her hot tea…

After an energetic introduction from host Ryan Seacrest, Mariah Carey wearing a white fur coat, and a gold glittery dress, kicked off her set with a rendition of her classic hit Vision of Love.

After finishing up the song, Mariah had the first meme of 2018, when she asked for some hot tea, then went on to say ” I’m going to be just like everybody else with no hot tea.”

After having a little fun, because there was no hot tea, Mariah got serious as she told the crowd, she wanted to show her appreciation for everybody that speaks out for justice before going into HERO.

Oh, and it’s worth sharing that Mariah posted a photo of herself sipping hot tea after her performance.

Before we go throwing shade at Mariah about asking for hot tea, New York did experience brutal temperatures last night.

This year’s performance was a far cry from Carey’s 2016 NYE lip sync disaster, mainly due to the fact that she didn’t have a sound check.

“We didn’t have a sound check, but it’s New Year’s, baby, that’s O.K., you guys,” and “I’m trying to be a good sport here,”  Carey kept telling the crowd last year.

But none of that this year…..
