Joi Starr and Brandy vocals sound amazing together as they cover Kim Burrell’s ‘Try Me Again’
My Block Records artist, Joi Starr was in New York for the summer shooting a movie, and before heading back home to California decided to catch Brandy on Broadway in Chicago. After the show the two singers spent some time together, and even decided to bless us with their cover of Kim Burrell’s ‘Try Me Again’

❣️This @kimburrelllove song reminds me of how faithful God is and why it's important that I continue to trust Him and why I'll never turn my back or give up on God, because He won't give up on me. When my grandpa Campbell passed away I unfollowed God like a option on IG, all because I didn't understand life. I felt that God should've answered my prayer to heal him from cancer so he could stay on earth, but God healed him when he died for him, and fulfilled His promise of giving everlasting life. Losing My cousin has shown me something new about myself. I now blindly trust God. I almost lost my life in a car accident. I've experienced the devastation of loss. I don't know the why, but the why doesn't matter, what matters is my faith in God and the fact that all things are working together for my good because I love God and I'm called according to his purpose. God, not my will but your will be done in every area of my life, because you never fail.

Brandy enjoyed singing the song with Joi, revealing that the ladies use to sing ‘Try Me Again’ growing up.
Me and my truest best friend @joistarr spending time with you growing up meant the world to me. All we did was laugh and sing. You are one of my favorite singers of all time and you have influenced me greatly in music. You are so gifted and beautiful and I’m happy to have you back in my life. You introduced me to this style of singing and we were singing this song at 16 and then tried to recall it on the spot last night. I know I’m over the top but I couldn’t help it… love you for life!!!!
For those of you who don’t know Joi Starr is Warryn Campbell’s little sister. If you remember Warryn and Erica Campbell’s wedding on ‘A Wedding Story,’ back in the 2001, Brandy was in their wedding.
So these two go way back.
