Verdict on Wanted Man
Wanted Man is an action thriller following a media disgraced cop who gets a final chance to prove his importance to the force. He must travel to Mexico to bring back a couple of eyewitnesses but ends up learning about a bigger cover up. It sees him doing everything to protect the witness and prove he is one of the best on the force.
This movie takes us through a typical action formula, while trying to make a questionable character the good guy. It makes it clear that him and his group of friends don’t like Mexicans and he is forced to help some out. This is harder to believe as a redemption story of misunderstanding a group of people than normal. Away from that, we get the action story we have come to expect, and it delivers for everything you would imagine a late-night action movie has to offer.
Dolph Lundgren does make for a strong leading action star, and we have seen it for years now. However, some of the supporting stars seem out of place at times. Most notably Kelsey Grammer who is always difficult to take seriously in an action movie.
