Prepare to tune in for the early reactions, touted as Marvel's weirdest show of all time: WandaVision premiered two episodes on Disney Plus on Friday. It works similarly to The Mandalorian by taking the place to relax at the end of the week.
After the initial outage of two episodes, Disney will adopt a more regulated schedule, releasing one episode every week. That means we'll have all nine episodes of the first MCU phase 4 series in the first week of March (don't worry, there will be more Marvel content quickly The falcon and the winter soldierPremiere two weeks later).
Here is the full schedule for WandaVision's release:
- Episode 1: Now available
- Episode 3: Available on January 22nd
- Episode 4: Available January 29th
- Episode 5: Available February 5th
- Episode 6: Available February 12th
- Episode 7: Available February 19th
- Episode 8: Available February 26th
- Episode 9: Available March 5th
In addition to the first two episodes, Disney also released a story feature that gave us a behind-the-scenes look and some hints of what's to come on Friday.
While early reactions were pretty consistently positiveThey are not quite the definitive quality indicator Wonder Woman 1984 proven. But it's not surprising when Marvel makes WandaVision's wild premise come true.
Avengers: Endgame is followed by Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, and Vision, who lead their best lives in a sitcom-influenced suburb of the 1950s. But - spoiler - didn't Vision die in Avengers: Infinity War? Unsurprisingly, not everything is what it seems. The teasers all seem to suggest that Wanda is using her powers to construct a reality that can cope with her grief.
Episodes 1, 2 and 3 last half an hour and emulate a sitcom format. But as soon as the series resolves this construct, the episode lengths will "vary more, yes," Marvel boss Kevin Feige told TVLine.
Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Teyonah Parris, Katheryn Hahn, Randall Park and Kat Dennings star.
