After years of playing supporting roles, Vision and the Scarlet Witch are finally in the spotlight WandaVision, an upcoming show on the Disney + streaming service. Release date and a new trailer
On Disney Investor Day 2020, Marvel Studios released a new trailer and ultimately provided a release date for the upcoming series: January 15, 2021, on Disney +.

A journey through time

New overall photos and style note
Empire Magazine has a new feature on the upcoming Disney + series, giving us new looks on the whole. The genre and time style seems to be in effect.
Additionally, Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed that WandaVision will include a few styles popularized in sitcoms from the past 15 years. "We go up to Modern family and Office style, "Feige said. "The documentary style speaking to the camera, to the shaking camera."
The first trailer
Disney surprised audiences with the release of the first trailer for WandaVision at the 2020 Emmy Awards. The trailer is just as far-fetched as the source material for the comic. The show feels totally independent of time and space, which makes sense because, as the trailer recalls: Vision is dead.
Super Bowl Spot
Disney teased the next Disney + shows WandaVision, Loki, and Falcon and Winter Soldier in a 30-second spot during Super Bowl LIV on February 2. After hearing Paul Bettany's vision say, "Welcome Home," we see a shattering cut of about a dozen versions of Wanda Maximoff and Vision living their domestic lives. At Disney's D23 exhibit in August, artist Andy Park launched the poster he painted for WandaVision, revealing the show's first official promotional artwork.

The poster appears to confirm reports that part (or maybe all) of the series will be set in the 1950s, but the shadows on the wall - which depict Vision and Scarlet Witch in their traditional style. Marvel Comics Superhero Costumes - suggests there's more at stake than what we see in the foreground.
The casting
Like other Marvel shows coming to Disney +, WandaVision will feature the same actors you've come to know and love on the big screen in their normal roles. In this case, that means Elizabeth Olsen will return as Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, and Paul Bettany will return as the Avenger robot known as Vision.
They will be joined by Teyonah Parris, who is best known for her work on Mad Men, If Beale Street could speak, and Dear Whites (the movie, not the Netflix spin-off). Parris is new to the MCU, but the character she plays is not: Monica Rambeau appeared as a child in Captain Marvel, in which she is introduced as the daughter of Lashana Lynch, but she has all grown up by the time WandaVision start.
In June, Comic Book Movie also reported that Evan Peters, who played Quicksilver in Fox's X-Men franchise, also joined the cast in an unspecified "key" role. Meanwhile, Vision recently made headlines for his own limited series in which he creates his own Synthezoid family and tries to adjust to life in the suburbs.
The presence of Monica Rambeau in WandaVision is another interesting wrinkle. In the comics, Monica gained energy-controlling powers and nicknamed herself Captain Marvel a good 20 years before Carol Danvers took the name, though she was also part of Photon, Pulsar and Spectrum. It will be interesting to see if WandaVision stays true to Monica's superheroic roots, or if that take has the character playing a different role.
