Amazon Prime Day won't be the only major sales event in October. Walmart and Target this week announced plans to launch their own listings at online events that happen to coincide with Amazon's annual shopping festival.
CNET announced last week that Prime Day would take place October 13-14, and Amazon confirmed the sales dates on Sunday.

On Monday, Walmart announced that it would host a "Big Save" online event October 11-15. The retail giant said it will offer Black Friday savings on thousands of items, including electronics, toys, beauty items and more. According to Walmart, some orders over $ 35 may have free two-day shipping, while some orders may have free next-day delivery or in-store pickup.
On Tuesday, Target presented plans for the Deal Days event, which will take place October 13-14. Target said the online event will include deals on hundreds of thousands of items in electronics, household, toys, beauty and more. The retailer also offers contactless drive-up and order pickup for many deals. Some offers can be shipped the same day.
Target added that select deals will also be available on its website starting October 5th. The retailer also plans to offer Black Friday prices throughout November and to extend the Price Match Guarantee for items that are "Black Friday Deals" beyond 14 days November 1st and December 24th.
Amazon's Prime Day usually takes place in mid-July, but the shopping event has been postponed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new dates for Prime Day could change the dynamics of the event as customers may buy their Christmas gifts earlier than usual as sales will take place much closer to the end of the year.
