Padma Bhushan Rahul Dravid is former Indian cricket team player who captained Indian team in test and ODIs. He is considered to be the most promising one down batsman in the world. He had a long list of accolades under his name and yet he is modest enough to deny his brilliance. Time and time again there has been discussion regarding him and Sachin Tendulkar on the grounds that who is best in defense.

Rahul Dravid gave Indian cricket team strength and he hardly seen to get out by playing a needless shot. He hold some unique records like he is only player to score century against all test playing nations, and holds records for most number of catches by a fielder. He is second highest run getter for India and third highest in the world test cricket.  He captained Rajasthan Royal an Indian Premier League team which won the first IPL. Dravid was born in Maharashtrian family at Indore but soon shifted to Banglore where his father was working. His father was in Jams and preserves company and hence he got his nickname jammy. He completed degree in commerce and soon he start his international career.  In his first test innings he fell short of a ton by 5 runs and till then he never dropped out of the team for performance concern.
