For our wedding, our solemniser made us write our own vows. Honestly, I never knew how difficult vows writing could be. The hubby and I actually didn't read/ hear each other vows until the wedding day. Cos I thought it would be romantic and sincere...and I expected myself to weep a tear or 2.
But guess what I didn't cry...cos the hubby's vows was very...very similar to mine. Well, it seems we are meant for each other. Cos we both search Google and ripped off something we liked...and we liked the same thing. So as he was reciting his vows, all I could think was..shit now everyone thinks I copied his. Crap.
And I immortalised this moment by printing our vows on wooden boards. I think most people would either print it in acrylic or wood. The only reason why we went for wood was because it would suit the theme better as most of our deco were very brown and wooden.
Okay, I did that not because I was considerate and wanted to let our guests who were late for the wedding to still feel as though they were still part of it. We were simply to lazy to remember our vows. For me, even if I did I attempt to memorise, with my dodo brain, I would probably blank out on the day itself. Sigh.
After the solemisation, my bridesmaids displayed the vows on the marble table and I was like wow, they actually look good as deco themselves too. :) Overall, I was really happy with my decision to print my vows. Now, I can look back and badger my hubby to read them and relive the moment. Or I can just look at them, read it and feel blissful all over again.
If you would like to do the same, I would suggest you use our vendor - 19ninetysg.The quality of the wood and carving was also top-notch. Because we didn't want to see each other vows before the wedding, there was no way we could even do any checks. 19ninetysg did an amazing job with the error-free wooden blocks. She even got the design right! Super impressed. So choose them for any wedding customisation works if you want to have a quick tick off your to-do list.
