Don't you hate it when people say they've 'done' somewhere? As in "oh, I did Rome last year". I find it really grating because I don't think you can ever 'do' a place... there's always more waiting to be explored.
But the closest you can get to 'doing' a place is probably a G Adventures trip. These guys specialise in immersive trips that aren't for the faint-hearted.
They're running a competition at the moment to give away several incredible, immersive trips to faraway places.
