Videos that became viral on Twitter show lava out of the volcano in Iceland. Dark -themed videos have surprised several users, who have compare visuals with “cats from hell”. The recording was shared by a user named Bjorn Steinbekk, a drone photographer. “Good night and remember, you are amazing,” read the statement.
Videos for two minutes show a gap caused by magma that erupts and hardened stones form shapes, which resemble cats. When the camera moves, it shows lava moving through the valley, giving the shape of the tail.
According to the Icelandic Meteorology Office, a volcanic eruption was reported near the Keflavik Iceland airport last Wednesday. The eruption caused officials to observe the situation carefully and attract the interest of some people who wandered near the bright orange lava flow despite warnings, reporting the Washington Post.
The video has collected more than 11,000 appearances and hundreds of likes on Twitter since shared. More than one hundred users have repeated posts so far.
A user only wrote “OMG,” while the others said, “Looks like a cat from hell.” The third user commented, “Pray to pull so you get food and the opportunity to come to the land of ice and fire.”
Fagradalsfjall volcano in southwestern Iceland erupted at 13:18 (local time) on Wednesday, with the Icelandic Meteorology Office advising people to avoid areas rarely on the Reykjanes Peninsula -although some are still close to photos with their children and flying Drone, the post further said in his report.
Known as The Land of Fire and Ice, Iceland is the largest and most active volcano region in Europe, home for one third of lava that has been flowing on earth since the Middle Ages, according to the Visit Iceland.
The vast North Atlantic Island straddles the Middle Atlantic Rid, a gap on the seabed separates the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. This shift in plates is partly responsible for intense Icelandic volcanic activities.
