As summer draws to an end, we begin to change our clothing fashion to better fit the cooler weather of the coming months. But before saying goodbye to the stylish digs of this past summer, I wanted to take a look at the basic fashion trends in the Netherlands that I’ve noticed over the several months I’ve been here.

My piece Vogue: Fashion in Holland recently made it onto the Expat Exchange e-mail newsletter and can be found on their website. The website summarizes the article as such:

Summary: Dutch fashion is modest, practical, and eclectic all at the same time. Writer Tiffany Jarman Jansen describes the Dutch fashion sense.

Given the nature of this post, I would like to congratulate my friends Ning for getting into the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, and Elaine for getting back into the fashion and design scene in London! And just for fun, check out the website of the Dutch fashion duo Viktor & Rolf
