Vivo Y55 5G was revealed in Taiwan as the new budget 5G smartphone from the Chinese Tech Giant. The phone comes with a MediaTek entry-level 5G chipset, large battery, fast charging, 50MP triple rear camera, waterdrop notch display, and more. The Vivo Y55 is a tweaked version of Vivo Y55s that was announced back in December last year.

Vivo Y55 5G features a 6.58 inches LCD display with Full-HD+ ( 1080 x 2408 pixels ) resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot up to 1TB.
In terms of camera, the smartphone boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the phone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch. The device is running on Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 skin on top.
The smartphone is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port, and NFC. In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 164 x 75.84 x 8.25 mm and weighs 187 grams. Sensors onboard, the Vivo Y55 5G sports accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

As per the report, Vivo Y55 5G is priced at TWD 7,990 ( Rs. 21,500 approx ) in a solo configuration of 4GB + 128GB, and the company offered the phone in two color options namely Galaxy Blue and Star Black. The company hasn’t revealed the plans to launch it in other countries.
