Chinese smartphone company Vivo pioneered technologies like in-display fingerprint sensor technology and pop up selfie cameras. It can be credited for democratizing both these technologies and as a result, we can see a lot of smartphone in mid-budget segment boasting both - pop up selfie camera and in-display fingerprint sensor.
The company is now getting ready for its next product - Vivo V17 Pro which will follow the success of V15 Pro.
Sometime back we came across a leaked image showing the rear panel of the upcoming device boasting quad-camera setup at the back and two different color variants of the upcoming device. While not much was known about the rest of the device.
Vivo V17 Pro Specifications
The latest leaked info reveals that the upcoming Vivo smartphone - the Vivo V17 Pro will come with a dual selfie camera setup housed in a pop-up module. If true, this could be the world's first such selfie camera setup on a phone.
The phone is said to come with a near bezel-less tall 6.44-inch SuperAMOLED with 2440*1440 pixel resolution. The phone is said to come with the latest in-display fingerprint sensor. There were rumours that the front display could be a curved one, however, it looks like that the rear panel will have scratch-resistant curved glass protection.
The phone could be powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, may have up to 8GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and may run on Android 9 Pie. A 4100 mAh battery pack would power the device. The phone will still have a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, Dual sim support, WIFI, and Type-C for charging.
Vivo V17 Pro Camera specifications
Talking about the Vivo V17 Pro camera specifications, the phone will have a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and two other sensors of 2-megapixel for depth sensing.
While on the front, the primary sensor could be a 32-megapixel sensor for wide-angle selfies accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor.
