A report last week revealed that Vivo is working on three new Y series phones – Vivo Y38 5G, Vivo Y03s and Vivo Y03t. whose model numbers are V2343, V2333 and V2344 respectively. And now, the Vivo Y38 model has received clearance from Bluetooth SIG and China’s CQC, sparking the possibility of an imminent launch. Note that the phone has also been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking site.
Vivo Y38 5G launch is not long
The Vivo Y38 5G phone has been listed in the Bluetooth Special Interest Group database with the model number V2343. It has confirmed that the phone will support Bluetooth 5.1 version. Also, the device has appeared in the China Quality Certification database with the same model number, indicating that it will support 44W fast charging.
Note that the Vivo Y38 5G appeared in the Geekbench benchmarking database last January. Which revealed that the device will come with a Qualcomm chipset, codenamed “Parrot”. Looking at the information mentioned in the source code, it can be assumed that the Vivo Y38 5G will have a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor.
Also, Geekbench has revealed that the Vivo Y38 5G will have 8GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 operating system. Speaking of performance, it scored 3,092 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 7,035 in multi-core test. Incidentally, a phone is launched in the market within about a month after the Bluetooth SIG approval. Hence, it is believed that the Vivo Y38 5G may enter the market in the next month (May).
