A Brazilian BBQ restaurant that turns into a Salsa club is a first that I have heard. The restaurant had a very old school feel to it, even the decor and seating was old school - twas quite interesting. The first thing I notice as soon as I stepped in was this mountain of alcohol all stacked up, maximising the table space and waiting for someone to come and drink it all..
Hello there
Brazilian BBQ buffet at Vivaz, The Rocks - $39 per person
Brazilian BBQ meet including pork, chorizo and chicken wings
My taste buds were still alive by the end of the night because the meat wasn't drowned in salt unlike some other Brazilian BBQ places I have been too. The pork crackling was soo crunch crunch crunchyyy - I wanted moreee but my body said no which was a shame. The chorizo were good too but personally, they still weren't as good as La Parrillada, they still stand as my fav thus far.I don't think I have ever been to a brazilian bbq buffet and seen them offer as many salad/vegetables as Vivaz so I think I can be confident to say that I got my daily servings of greens that night.
Salads, potatoes and pumpkin
More salads and pasta
Roasted potatoes, steamed vegetables, pasta salad and bean salad
When people say to me the two carnivorous words 'Brazilian BBQ', I would be expecting a large selection of different cuts, flavours and types of meat. There was a lot of variety of vegetables however as tasty as the meats were and taking into account that one is paying $39, there could have been a bigger selection of meats to choose from. A part of me had also died when I realised they didn't have cinnamon pineapples because it is my favorite item of all at Brazilian bbqs! The restaurant is set up as a proper buffer so there weren't people walking around carrying larger skewers, though I guess that may be because the place does turn into a salsa club after. Personally I wouldn't recommend this place to people if they were mainly there for the food as it is more suited towards salsa lovers out there. For salsa fans however it is a different story. After 10 pm, there is also an entry fee of $10 but if you are already there for dinner, the price of the food already covers that fee.
Gotta go eat!!
