As a result of the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman who died last month while being held by the country’s morality police, public anger in Iran has reached a level not seen in years. This movement has gained support from a large number of people all over the world, including celebrities, artists, politicians, and other well-known people.
Vitalik Buterin, a Russian who helped start Ethereum with other people, is one of them. Today, a photo of him wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Iranian women protesters went viral. In an Instagram Story, he said: “ I will always stand and support for women rights and freedom!”
Protesters want justice for Amini, protection of personal and political rights, and accountability from the government.
In order to raise awareness, protests have spread around the world, and now people from other countries are sharing stories and videos from Iran about what is going on.
