* Vita Liberata 2-3 Week Tan Mousse, Capture The Light Illuminating Skin Finish in Gold
There’s been a flurry of food posts on my blog lately so I thought I’d mix things up nicely with a beauty review. I’m always wary of trying out new tans. There’s the ones that go on clear only to have turned fifty shades of orange by morning and the ones that go on dark but slink away after one shower. After trying out previous tanning products, I’ve always ended going back to my old faithful spray tan, deflated, disappointed and downright miffed about spending so much on a faux tan. Isn’t there a a tan that goes on and stays on without turning you into an extra in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory? Ah yes, actually there is. Introducing the Phenomenal Two-Three Week Tan Mousse from Vita Liberata.
The first thing I noticed about this tan was the smell or lack of it. In fact it’s one of my favorite things about this product. It’s fragrance free which means you can put it on, get in to bed and your boyfriend won’t pass out. It’s a mousse formula which I always think is easier to apply than a lotion or a gel. The tanning mitt allows you to blend the tan to achieve a flawless finish without getting any residue on your palms. Unlike some fake tan products, this one is lightweight and it dries almost instantly.
The most amazing thing about this tan is it lasts for two-three weeks which is longer than a spray tan! It lasted just over two weeks for me and it faded evenly which is a bonus. This means you can slap it on before Christmas and have a golden glow that lasts for the full festive season. My only negative with this product is that while the coverage is good, the medium shade is a subtler shade than I would usually go for. So I’ve been using this as an everyday tan. For a night out I would definitely suggest the dark shade here.
For a touch of extra shimmer, use the illuminating skin finish to highlight your shoulders, collarbones and cleavage. I loved this product even more than the fake tan itself. This isn’t fragrance free but the smell isn’t offensive at all. You only need a small amount and when it’s rubbed in it creates a shimmery pearlescent finish. It’s like a BB cream for the body.
