But I think I’ll just let the photographs do much of the talking here.

Visiting Mount Fuji was one of those ‘pinch me’ moments. It was awe-inspiring in ways I’ve never known before. Postcard worthy, picturesque and truly monumental in its very own way. After stumbling on many trains from Tokyo, we made it to the volcano town, missing our booked guided tour by 2 minutes and decided to just wing it.
We meandered over to Lake Kawakuchigo, one of the five lakes that surround Fuji, believed to hold mystical powers. We climbed on the lava rock (I nearly cried because I hate rock climbing) and we hiked around the lake and partially up a mountain to get ‘that’ vantage point shot of the breathtakingly magical mountain.
It seemingly got bigger every time we looked at it (that’s what she said…!) and never lost its glory. I suppose it’s pretty insane to see one of these bucket list places with your very own eyes, isn’t it?
