Disney theme parks are supposedly some of the most family friendly places on earth. But a video showing a seemingly drunk man relentlessly brawling and swearing at Disney California Adventure Park has shocked, surprised and, somewhat predictably, gone viral on the internet.
In the four-minute video, 53-year-old Glenn Horlacher is shown punching and kicking a Disney security employee at the theme park in Anaheim despite being repeatedly pepper-sprayed in the face. The video does not make clear what kicked off the incident which, fittingly, took place outside the Tower of Terror ride.
“There are kids here,” the woman says. “Does this guy not get that? You’re in Disneyland!” “I know where I am at,” Horlacher responds. “Obviously not. It’s time to go home, sir,” she says.
“Our security cast member was taken to a hospital where he was treated for the injuries he sustained and then released,” Disney spokeswoman Suzi Brown told The Hollywood Reporter. “We appreciate the actions of the guests who came to his aid during this uncharacteristic incident.”
At Gawker, Max Read said “Happiest Place on Earth™? More like Punching-and-Cursingest Place on Earth™.” Read observed that Disney employees “retaliated by turning Horlacher’s face into the Pepper-Sprayiest Face on Earth™.”
Warning: video contains lots of swear words.
