Former Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran has decided to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming Presidential Election.
She told the media that the two main candidates running for this year’s Presidential Election had asked for her support, but she decided to support the incumbent President. She also said with the decision to nominate a common Tamil candidate for the Presidential Election, severe divisions have arisen within Northern Tamil political parties.
The former Minister said she was confident the Tamil people in the North will fully support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming election.
