I’m back in Canada! Less than 10 hours after arriving back in Canada after being in Germany for over a year I headed to the mountains to Panorama Ridge, a scramble I’ve been wanting to do for a while. It’s aptly named with impressive views, but I was most impressed by the glacier on Mt. Quadra. After a couple of hours of climbing higher, it became apparent to me exactly why glaciers can be so dangerous:
Check out the large crack that goes all away across the glacier near the top. Thankfully I was on the over side of the lake, far out of reach, but from down below the giant crack was not visible. I think I’ll stick to hiking and scrambling!
