View a Tiny, Miniaturized Chicago in This Unique Timelapse Video

By Urbanmatter Chicago @UMatterChicago

Using just one camera and capturing over 20,000 stills, time-lapse videographer Chris Biela has again made the city of Chicago the star of his vision in a new, awe-inspiring way.

Shooting from elevated locations and using a tilt shift effect, the result makes the city look almost tiny or miniaturized, as if it were a small model of the city that we are looking at.

Iconic landmarks such as The Bean, Marina City, Lake Shore Drive, and the Chicago Riverwalk take on all new, tiny forms as  millions of Chicagoans scurry alongside them. But enough from us, check it out yourself. If you want to sit back and take in all the beauty that is Chicago, watching this video is certainly a unique way to do it.
