Well, fans of Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire Mysteries books may think they know what we can expect between Eric and Sookie during Season 4 of HBO’s True Blood. Afterall, Alan Ball has sort of followed the amnesia storyline so we should know what’s next right? Not so fast says Alexander Skarsgard, who plays our favorite viking vampire Eric Northman. Skarsgard sat down with Michael Ausiello at Comic-Con and he talked about the Eric and Sookie relationship, those crazy True Blood fans and the change in Eric this season.
In the interview Skarsgard says that he can get overwhelmed by the fan reaction but that he enjoys that part of it. He also talks about the transformation that Eric goes through this season and that he has tried to keep the integrity of the character while exploring this new side of him. He is also looking forward to the period after the spell is broken and how Eric will react, will he change, will he go back, will he remember? Talk moves to the anticipation of Eric/Sookie fans and Skarsgard says that fans of the books shouldn’t necessarily expect the same storyline. Even though he is at Comic-Con, Skarsgard says that he is still currently on vacation and he just spent a week in Sweden with his family, flew down for the event and will be flying back the next day for another week.
