MIAMI: Officials arrive in Miami Wednesday to investigate passenger jets who caught fire while landing at the US International Airport, forcing more than 100 people to escape from the plane that was burned and destroyed.
Three people were treated at the hospital after the Red Air Flight 203 accident on Tuesday night, according to the Miami-dade firefighters, but there were no serious deaths or injuries reported among those in it.

Dramatic video footage shows people evacuated from McDonnell plane Douglas MD-82, lying on tilted on the runway with his nose tangled when thick black smoke rises from his body.

The National Transportation Safety Council (NTSB), the US Government Agency responsible for a civil aviation accident, said the left landing wheel left of the aircraft collapsed during the landing.

The plane then “left the runway” before coming to rest in the grassy area, he said, with the fire broke out on his right side.

Investigators can restore cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders from aircraft. They will also check the runway and physical environment.

Red air and NTSB said there were 130 passengers and 10 crew on the ship.
