In Charlaine Harris’ book series, Lafayette plays a relatively small role in the first novel “Dead Until Dark” and is dead by the book’s end. But True Blood would not be the same without Lafayette Reynolds and is all the better for it thanks to the way Nelsan Ellis portrays him. While appearing on the Talk on CBS, Ellis discussed Lafayette with the panel and he revealed that the way he plays the character is actually influenced by his mom. Watch the clip below:
