But he really brings it home in part two:
Let all that marinate and sink in for a minute as you await the next iteration of the gun extremists’ and their NRA mother ship’s “oh, poor me, I’m a law-abiding victim of tyranny” shtick.
It all comes down to this… of course we should be enforcing laws already on the books. But none of those laws matter as long as the NRA uses its power to, as Stewart said, castrate the very agencies that are supposed to enforce them. Publicly, the NRA is all about enforcing current laws. But clearly, in the back rooms after the press conferences, they are doing everything they can to nullify everything that does anything.
