Carrie Preston (Arlene Fowler) made an appearance on another CBS show this week. So far she’s made multiple appearances on The Good Wife but this time she’s keeping it in the family by playing the fiancee of her real life husband Michael Emerson’s character on Person of Interest. In the video below Reese played by Jim Caviezel visits Finch’s fiancee only to find out that she thinks Finch is dead. Watch:
EW’s Melissa Maerz talked to Carrie all about who she plays on Person of Interest who said she was excited to play someone from Finch’s private life:
“He clearly sacrificed his own heart in order to protect her, which is very tragic and also extremely romantic…We certainly have more empathy for him now.”
But now she says Reese could use her as a resource to get more information about Finch. Alternatively, Finch could also use Reese to contact her:
“It would be interesting to revisit this idea that Finch has an app on his phone that keeps him from ever getting within 100 meters of her. He could get Reese to say things to her, because he can’t come near her himself.”
While Preston won’t appear in this season’s finale, Person of Interest would welcome her back so it’s likely we might see her next season as well. In the mean time, Carrie is concentrating on True Blood Season 5 and talked about the role Scott Foley (Patrick) will play this season:
“We’re very much going to face some things from Terry’s past, and he’s a big part of that.”
