Mario Winans has been arrested, because he did not pay his child support!
Mario Winans, the son of Vickie Winans was arrested Wednesday night at his home in New Jersey.
The singer reportedly owes $171,000 in back child support for his 12 year old son Jordan.
Janel Bennett, who is Jordan’s mother was initially given $4,500 a month, but lowered it to $2,500 when she thought Winans, who has other children with his wife, Joy, was having financial problems.
“We found out the truth and heard he was living very well,” Bennett said. “So we had a mediation and agreed to lower it to only $3,500.
Court documents reveal that Winans is supposed to be paying $3,500 per month in child support.
According to TMZ, Mario makes about $3,000 per month from songwriting.
The singer told the judge that he could secure a loan to immediately pay off $10,000 off the debt, in which the judge released him, but with a GPS ankle monitor.
