Veterans Day is a time to thank veterans for their service to our country. If it were not for them, the idea of the United States of America would be completely different. As a result, we honor those who served and thank them for their service today and the other 364 days of the year. There were those who recognized the need to honor the servicemen and servicewomen who enabled us to be the Americans we are today. Yet we think that it is not enough to thank a veteran. We believe that we owe it to them to learn why there is a national holiday dedicated to their service so we can really understand the true gravity of what they have done for our country.
