Veteran Journalist A.C. De Silva Passes Away

Former Deputy Editor and long-time Sports Editor of the Sunday Observer newspaper, A.C. De Silva, a well-known Thomian and former Waterpolo referee, has passed away at the age of 80 years.

He played a leading role in the Observer Schoolboy Cricketer awards since its inception in 1979. The remains lie at AF Raymond Funeral parlour from yesterday. Cremation will be held at the Anglican Section of the Borella Cemetary on April 11 (Monday) at 4 pm.
