Verisign Increase .Net Prices 10%, Adding $7.5 Million To Verisign’s Revenue

After the market closed today, VeriSign, Inc. ( NASDAQ : VRSN ), announced, effective July 1, 2013, an increase in the registry domain name fee for .net top-level domain names, per its agreement with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

As of July 1, 2013, the registry fee for .net will increase from $5.11 to $5.62.

Share of Verisign where up $1.17 to $38.30 during regular trading

According to Verisign there are about 15 million .Net domain names registered the $.51 increase per domain name will add $7.5 Million to Verisign’s revenue.
