In May 2017, Carter Wilkerson’s tweet at Wendy’s asking what it would take to get free chicken nuggets for a year surpassed Ellen DeGeneres’ famous tweet with over 3 million retweets.[238] Retweeting is beneficial strategy, which notifies individuals on Twitter about popular trends, posts, and events.[239] The use of hashtags can also be used in retweets, and can be used to take count of how many people have used that hashtag.
