Vegan Treats: Asda Free From Easter Collection

By Natalie Tamara @thetofudiaries

Over the past few years, vegan Easter eggs have slowly been creeping onto the shelves but since 2018 is the year of the vegan (that’s official now, right?), it’s no surprise that the selection out there is better than ever.

This Easter, Asda have released an amazing selection of vegan Easter eggs and other Easter goodies as part of their Asda Free From range.

I’m super excited to share this year’s Asda Free From Easter collection with you. Have you tried any of the range yet? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Asda Free From Easter Collection

There’s something about Easter eggs that just makes chocolate taste better. I don’t know if it’s the slight bite the thin chocolate gets or the novelty or what it is, but to me it definitely does. Would you agree?

That said, if I had to choose my favorite thing about Easter, it’d be a tough one; there’s also hot cross buns and a 4-day weekend to consider.

Asda Vegan Easter Range

The vegan Easter eggs in the Asda Free From range have all tastes covered, from dark chocolate through to milk and white:

  • Free From Choc Easter Bunny – a creamy milk chocolate bunny that’s perfect for kids
  • Extra Special Free From Dairy Free Belgian Dark Chocolate Easter Egg with Vanilla Flavoured Truffles – a more grown-up Easter egg; the wonderful vanilla truffles make this one the perfect choice if you’re looking for something fancier
  • Free From Dairy Free Easter Egg with Choc Orange Discs – this one went down very well in my house! The egg itself is creamy milk chocolate while the chocolate discs will be a hit with chocolate orange lovers
  • Free From Egg with White Choc Buttons – I’m a bit of a fiend for white chocolate and this has got to be one of the creamiest vegan white chocolates I’ve tried. It also has a lovely vanilla taste to it.

I was also impressed with how reasonably priced the Asda vegan Easter eggs are too – ranging from £3 to £5.

Vegan Easter: Asda Free From Hot Cross Buns

Would any Easter be complete without hot cross buns? I don’t think so!

The Asda Free From 4 Hot Cross Buns are gluten-free as well as being vegan but they’re every bit as fluffy, sticky and fruity as you’d expect them to be.

I can confirm that they’re absolutely perfect lightly toasted with a little vegan butter. I tried a couple just to make sure though.

Asda Free From Easter Goodies

All of the Asda Free From products are available to buy online at www.asda.com or in store, including at the Asda Pudsey store.
