Vanessa Williams, accompanied by her mother, Helen Williams sparkled in a purple gown for the International Film Festival in Dubai.
Wearing a purple Pamella Roland gown, Vanessa Williams attended the opening night gala.
While on the red carpet, Vanessa was asked about the #MeToo movement going on in Hollywood.
“I just saw the hashtag #MeToo got the number one spot in Time magazine,” said Williams.“It shows how quickly now with social media things can change. Things are outed and exposed and action can happen. That’s fantastic.”
The dramatic cape made this the perfect red carpet gown.
Vanessa also attended the Global Gift Gala where she was being honored with the Excellence Award for her charitable work.
It was also Vanessa’s mom’s birthday. So while accepting her award she sang ‘The Sweetest Days’ to the birthday girl.
“Dubai gave my mother an unforgettable birthday! When I serenaded her with “the sweetest days “ she was brought to tears.” Vanessa wrote on Instagram.
