Valheim Console Commands – How to Open Console?
To open console just press ESC + F5. You can also hide UI by pressing CTRL + F3.
But there are Basic or Admin Console commands, and Cheat Console commands, and to use the cheats, you need to do something else

Admin Commands
You can type help, and check all the available console comamnds:
- kick [nickname/ip/userID] – Kick the user.
- ban [nickname/ip/userID] – Ban the user.
- unban [ip/userID] – Unban the user.
- banned – Shows a list of banned users.
- ping – Send a ping to the server to ger your latency.
- lodbias [number] – Set distance lod bias, if empty shows actual lodbias. By default 1.5
- info – Print system info
There are more commands, but all of them are cheats, and you have to enable the cheats first:
Cheat codes
If you want to use cheats, you have to type imacheater. Now if you type “help” you will see a lot of new commands, and all of them are cheats:
- god – enables god mode
- pos – print current player position
- goto [x,y] – teleport to coordinates x, y
- killall – kill nearby enemies
- exploremap – explore entire map
- resetmap – reset map exploration
- tame – tame all nearby tameable creatures
- location – spawn location
- freefly – freefly photo mode
- ffsmooth – freefly smoothness
- event [eventname] – start event
- stopevent – stop current event
- raiseskill [skill] [amount] – raise skill lvl
- resetcharacter – reset character data
- dpsdebug – toggle dps debug print
- save – force saving of world
- resetwind – reset wind
- removedrops – remove all item-drops in area
- players [nr] – force difficulty scale (0 = Reset)
We don’t recommend using cheat commands, you will ruin your ingame experience. But some of them, like pos (current player position) or goto x,y (teleport) could very very useful if you get stuck
