Valentine's Day flowers with a modern touch

There are many people out there who love the idea of tradition and keeping things simple. No matter how much time has passed, there is something about the idea of traditions that is always comforting. Traditions are not only passed down within families, but also within cultures., Valentine's Day is no exception and, when we think of this romantic occasion, we instantly picture red roses, chocolates, stuffed animals holding red hearts, and all the cutest declarations of love. Of course, there are also those who prefer making their own traditions or veering away from tradition completely. This is great because if gives way to endless possibilities and it can really keep things exciting.

If you are looking for a modern take on Valentine's Day flowers, you'll be delighted to know that there are so many options available during this time of year. While it might be winter for half of the world, this doesn't stop florists from bringing us the finest flowers! Roses are undoubtedly the number one flower of choice for this occasion. Red roses are particularly popular. However, they are not the only red flowers that are associated with a deep and passionate form of love. Red carnations, tulips, and various other flowers can also send this message of romance. This is good to remember since red roses often rise in price around this time of year!

When you want to impress your Valentine, but you don't want to opt for the usual red rose bouquet, it's good to start by thinking about what they might like. Do you know their favourite flower? How about their favourite colour? If you know both, then you're really in luck! If you know that they love pink, for example, you could send a pink bouquet. If they love daisies, you could opt for a mixed bouquet of gerberas. Of course, if you know what colour and the type of flower they prefer, you can ask your florist to assist. So, if they love pink and daisies, a bouquet of pink gerberas would be perfect!

If none of these ideas suits your needs or preferences, you can be sure that one flower will never let you down. Send orchids if you really want to impress your partner or spouse! These flowers are known for their beauty and elegance. They really are superior in every way. Remember, you can have your florist make an orchid bouquet or, if you want a gift that will last, you could order an orchid plant instead!

Finally, once you have selected the perfect flowers, it's time to choose a vase. The vase can literally make or break the design. If you want to make sure that your floral gift does not look old fashioned, you should choose a modern vase. A single colour is good and there should not be any pictures or designs on the vase. Clear glass, plain white, black, or silver, are all great options. The shape of the vase is also important. Square, rectangular, or cylindrical are ideal. However, a slightly curved vase will also do provided is is otherwise plain.
