If you have dreamed of a new ink during the lockdown, you will be very happy to hear that Vagabond Tattoo on Hackney Road, voted the number one tattoo studio in the city by Time Out and Condé Nast Traveler (we believe it is is pretty mega too), reopened. Since the studio opened in 2012, it has gained a reputation for clean, precise and original ink, with artists custom designing all of their own pieces.
There are five resident artists at Vagabond - co-owner Paul Hill, Andy Hulbert, Davide Trifoni, Imanol, and Spina - who all have experience in traditional designs and cover the black, gray, and color between them no matter what. the ideas you have in your head, they can make it happen.

The space itself has received a redesign, done by co-owner Rebecca Hill's new interior business, featuring an updated waiting area, more framed artwork, and l 'Addition of separate kiosks with custom dividers to allow for an individual experience. Vagabond has also introduced a series of new Covid security measures; clients are now required to complete a digital rather than handwritten consent form, undergo temperature check on arrival and wear masks in the workshop, artists also wearing masks and PPE, and there are hand disinfection throughout the space.
A good tattoo studio should always have very high hygiene standards, and we've always found this to be the case during our pre-Covid visits to Vagabond, so you can bet it's a safe place to get this ink.
