Using Your Android Phone As A Mobile Hotspot

If you are not in a place where you can easily get a WIFI connection but you have some internet data on your Android or IOS phone, you can feed your Laptop computer or any other devices that need an internet network with your mobile data.

In case you are wondering if your device can actually work, then don’t worry because all Android and IOS phones regardless of its version, have this feature.

How to Use Your Mobile Device as Hotspot

First, go to your mobile device settings >>> click on “Portable hotspot” >>> click on “Set up portable hotspot

On the SSID space: Put in the name you’d like your mobile Hotspot to bear

Security part: Change it from none to WPA2-Personal

Password area: this place should be your password

After you have successfully completed the above steps, go back and tick the “Portable hotspot” to activate your personal mobile hotspot.

Once you’re through with that, activate your laptop wifi and click on your network icon on your PC.

   

There, you will see your mobile hotspot on all available networks.

Click your mobile network and input the password you used when creating your mobile hotspot.

Gbam!!! Now you can surf the web using your mobile device as a hotspot.
