I was brought up thinking that comforters are absolutely useless given that our weather is so terribly humid and warm. After investing in my own (cos I am into aesthetics and they look good on the bed), I realize it is important to get a good cooling one.
Here's how I use my comforters:
- As a blanket in my aircon room
- On the sofa as a shawl on colder days when I am watching/ catching up on shows.
- *New* Laying it on the floor for the kids to rest on cos it is so comfy.
- *New* Spare beddings for our guests cos they make us look like great host
The one we are currently using is Robinsons Hotel Collection Cooling Reversible Comforter ($159.90). It is so cooling and soft that baby uses it on the floor as well (folded 2 times) to practice her Tummy Time. By now, I realize that different kids are truly different. This one is more reluctant to do her practices and I am more worried about developmental delays for her. I will be dedicating a whole post on Tummy Time because Mummies with similar babies, I feel you more this time round.
Currently, she is doing her practices on her older brother's tools which include the Taf Toys 2 in 1 Tummy Time Pillow ($35.90) and Taf Toys Tummy Time Book ($33.90). The problem is that her brother is still very possessive over the tummy pillow and she is not particularly keen on the tummy book unlike her brother. You can read up on our Tummy Time Tip post on the tricks we learnt with out #1 (difficulty level: low/average) here !
